Al Gore invented the internet.

George W. Bush at least doubled it, resulting in the ‘internets’.

Now John McCain has invented the BlackBerry.  For that, we both love and hate him.

McCain senior domestic policy adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin said Tuesday the BlackBerry mobile e-mail device was a “miracle that John McCain helped create.”

We love and hate Senator McCain for his invention.  I suppose that’s appropriate in that, according to Holtz-Eakin, McCain ‘both regulated and de-regulated the industry.’  The industry presumably meaning the telecommunications industry.

Republicans should be angry to find out that McCain was in the Senate Commerce Committee, just regulatin’ the hell out of those poor, strugglin’ corporations.
