It’s been another bad week on Wall Street and Main Street. Let’s see how the candidates stand with regard to spiritual issues in today’s much-anticipated Godometer and Antichristometer Update.
It was a rocky week for Governor Palin and Senator McCain on the political front, and Senator McCain’s Godometer and Antichristometer readings are both on the upswing. Governor Palin, last week’s Queen of Godiness, today is behind Senator Joe Biden in Godiness.
As we often mention in this special feature, Senator Biden is bound to have high Godiness readings as he is a Roman Catholic, and his religion is the One True Religion. Governor Palin’s Godiness readings are surprisingly high for an apostate seal-handler. She is really pulling out all the class warfare stops, and that may temporarily bouy her Godiness.
Taking the clear lead in Antichristiness this week is Senator Barack Obama, perhaps due to his dismantling of Senator McCain in what even a tweaker would have to admit was a startlingly uneventful ‘debate’.
Senator McCain’s Godiness remains below what it should be, in my opinion, as he is a national hero, and by all accounts a caring adoptive father. Holding his Godiness down, however, may be his penchant for name-calling and his evil plan to deliver more of the same. The fundamentals of the economy are strong.
This week, the Democratic ticket has clear leads in both Godiness and Antichristiness. That is, at once, both comforting and discomfiting, depending on whether you worship a good deity or a bad deity.
